MLT HS Jazz Band

The award-winning Mountlake Terrace High School Music Program provides exemplary performances including their jazz band.

DJ Sharadawn

Seattle-area DJ Sharadawn is known for engaging a diverse group of crowds through spinning the unexpected with the familiar, transcending people to a place of feeling good. With a love for the classics and the new, DJ Sharadawn crosses both musical eras and genres with delight.

The Pazific

Movement Music ~ West Coast Latin Soul

The Pazific creates tropical movement music with a latin psychedelic twist for people looking to feel so free they can’t help but let loose. When our music comes on you’ll be dancing before you know it, transported to a place of joy where you can connect with those around you!

Fresh Professor

Fondly known as Fresh Professor, James Miles worked as an artist and educator in New York City for 20 years prior to moving to Seattle in 2016. Before joining the faculty of Seattle University as Assistant Professor, James served as the Chief Executive Officer of MENTOR Washington and the Executive Director of Arts Corps, prior to that.


“All the Places We’ll Go” Interactive Mural
Stephanie Morales, of AxSM Art LLC

Artist Stephanie Morales presents an interactive mural that celebrates the journey and destinations accessible through the new light rail system. It invites passengers to engage, contribute, and imagine their own adventures. The interactive mural features a map of connections, interactive elements, travel tokens to place on the mural, photo frames, vibrant colors, and a collaborative painting process.

Kids’ Zone

Featuring mini basketball, hopscotch, giant yard games, coloring pages, chalk mural, bubble maze, giveaways and more!

The Kid Zone is generously provided by Brighton School!

Community Engagement

There will be opportunities to engage with the City of Mountlake Terrace and other community organizations. Connect with local services, resources, and programming, and provide feedback on community ideas and needs.

MEET THE DESIGNER: KEITH RUSSELL

Keith Russell Design is a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Seattle, Washington, with a main focus to help clients tell their story through compelling and intelligent design. Specializing in a broad range of capabilities from branding and corporate collateral to web design, packaging and environmental graphics, we are grateful to Keith for applying his keen eye for detail to help celebrate the Mountlake Terrace Light Rail Opening Festival.
